In the Face of Fear
Buddhist Wisdom for
Challenging Times
Financial crisis, retrenchment and loss of dear ones -- these
are some of the challenging times anyone may face. We can't always control
what happens to us in life, but during times of fear, loss, or
groundlessness, Buddhism teaches us that there is one thing we can always
change: our own state of mind. How we react to the ups and downs of life
make all the difference, and Buddhism offers a wealth of wisdom and practices
to help us maintain a stable, wise, and helpful state of mind no matter
what happens. The book is an anthology from the greatest contemporary
Buddhist teachers and writers, including the Dalai Lama, Pema Chodron, Thich Nhat Hanh, Jack Kornfield and many
others.
